Here we are on a stroll with our Nordic hats, and appropriately Nordic expressions.

GG Louise Meets Me
Wow, my great grandma on Momma's side was almost 93-1/2 when I was born. I'm glad I finally got to meet her!
Merry Christmas!
I couldn't stay awake long enough for 'The Night Before Christmas' to be read last night, but I bet we'll have lots of photo ops today.

Taking a walk with the whole crew!
Today we hit the Great American Tobacco Trail for a little walk in the cold. My cousin Joey is cool... he can crawl around and even walk a little bit. I was stuck in my ride... again...

Auntie H, Momma, and Me
They stuck me in the contraption and took me for a walk! It was COLD, but there were lots of pretty things for me to look at.
Blue Ridge Parkway
Here's a pretty picture of fall colors along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western NC. I could see this from my car seat, but Daddy took the pictures.

Nature and my new jogger!
Here we are, at the North Carolina Nature Center in Asheville. There were bears, and wolves, and deer, and all sorts of other critters, but I was just enjoying the view from my fancy new stroller!
Cracker Barrel Part Deux!
Well since we decided to drive out to the mountains this weekend, we went to... wait for it... that's right, Cracker Barrel!!!
Happy Birthday Aaron!
Last weekend we had a belated b-day celebration for Uncle Aaron in Durham. I was extremely patient with everyone, letting them carry me around the restaurant, and walk me up and down the block.

LOBSTER BABY!!!
Happy Halloween everyone!! Mommy and Daddy wore aprons and dressed me in this ridiculous lobster outfit. I'm not sure what it all means... what do you think? We only had 3 trick 'or treaters at our first NC Halloween, hopefully next year will be better!
Maile's first Cracker Barrel Experience!
Well, this was the start of my first "road" trip (apparently the 5000 mile trip from Hawaii doesn't count!). We went to IKEA to buy me some Swedish furniture, which makes sense, since I am part Swedish.
Maile at the state fair!
2 weekends ago they took me to the state fair. There were all sorts of farm animals. I'm sure it was very interesting... maybe next year I'll be awake for more of it!

A deer comes to visit!
Mom and dad (and Luna!) saw their first deer in our yard. I bet they'll be fun to chase just as soon as I can move around.
Stylin' Maile (courtesy of the Schuylers)
I got my very own pink kitty bath towel, and even better, it has my name embroidered on the back! I can't wait to meet the Schuyler family who sent me such a cool gift!

Meet the Grandparents Movie Film
New House! New Stuff!
The North Carolina crew busted their butts to get our house ready for us. It really is a home, already. And check out my new gym!
Monday, and Well into Tuesday, was Homecoming Day
Here we are in our new house. What a fun night with all these new faces! I met my grandparents on Daddy's side and Uncles Aaron and Kyle. Then I partied all night and ate a ton, thanks to some wicked jet lag.
That Was a Heckuva Journey
The weather in Durham threw a hitch into our plans. Because of the heat wave, for the cats' safety we couldn't arrive during the day. So we had to break up our trip into three legs (HNL-->LAX-->ORD-->RDU), which got us to Durham at 7pm Monday...and still, it was the maximum allowable temparature of 85 degrees. In any case, I was well behaved--the extra breaks in the itinerary might have helped with that.

Aloha, Friends. You Are Our Family.
Here we are with Robert and Santa Duck at the airport. Apparently we had a lot of helpers on Sunday getting the condo packed and clean, and thankfully, I slept through it all. My mommy and daddy were so sad but grateful for everyone's help and company.

Our Aloha Party
We said goodbye to Mommy & Daddy's friends today. Beth-Ann was very helpful to hold me and take a lot of stuff that the parents had to give away (like their booze).

Aloha from Waikiki
Mommy was OK'd to swim again; sadly, it was just in time for one last outing to the beach. Guess it'll be a while before I get to swim here.

Aloha, Kauai
All in all, a good trial effort at getting packed up and on a plane. I think Mommy and Daddy got some rest and relaxation, and although it was rainy that weekend I think the views were pretty sweet.
The Good Guest
I also visited Mindy's grandparents while on Kauai. I waited for Mommy to have some lovely pie and coffee, and then after nursing I put on a fine show of grins and gurgles.
Kauai Totally Rules!
We were on Kauai last weekend, thanks to the generous hospitality of Matt & Mary. I had a nice walk on the beach, a visit to Hanalei, and some great food & sleep.

By the Way, Did You Notice I'm Huge?
Forgot to mention that before everyone arrived, I had a last visit with Dr. Kwock. I now weigh 10 lbs. 11 oz. and am 22 inches long. That puts me in the 'not just large, but larger than almost all babies my age' category.
My Monkey Nature Kicks In
Yes....I remember this hair. I instinctively grabbed it at four days old, and here I am doing it again.
The Reinforcements, Part II
Tara was a little too late to catch me smiling a second ago. I'm new to this smiling thing, so they'll have to keep trying with the camera.
